Baldur is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), in addition to managing the company's business development and marketing. Baldur began working at Heimar at the beginning of 2019, but was previously the Managing Director of Eyja investment company. 

Baldur previously worked in the financial sector for about 17 years, most recently as an investment manager in Auður Capital's venture fund division. Previously, Baldur worked as an investment and credit manager at Íslandsbanki between 2000 and 2009, including three years at the bank's offices in Copenhagen and New York. Baldur has been a member of various company’s Boards, such as Securitas, Íslenska gámafélagið and Skeljungur, and today sits on the board of Síldarvinnslan. 

Baldur is a mechanical and industrial engineer from the University of Iceland and has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from IMD University in Switzerland. Baldur has also completed a degree in securities trading.
